Stockholm is an archipelago not known for its beaches or unending days of sunlight (it’s stunning when the sun is out though). That’s why the locals fly to Thailand during the Spring and Fall.
But flying out of a continent is not always possible or convenient when all you are looking for is just to bathe in the glorious sun for a day.
It’s precisely for those situations that the little beaches, dotted around Stockholm come in so handy, such as the beach in Långholmen. Långholmen is a green oasis in the city, one of two – the other being Djurgården.
The modest barely 10m stretch of beach gets popular in the summer for obvious reasons.
We got there when there were still not many people, it wasn’t summer yet.
But damn, it felt good to touch sand once again…
